The Clamshell 25 was designed to adapt to any situation. Neither too big nor too small, it’s equally suited to everyday urban life, a demanding hike, or a weekend away. Unless you’re the kind of person who always packs five pairs of shoes. Its front clamshell opening makes it particularly practical for travel. All that’s left is to choose your preferred fabric version: Original, Cordura® or X-Pac. And if making choices is always a challenge for you, don’t worry: all three versions are perfectly suited to the uses described above.

This high-density 1680-denier fabric is made from recycled polyester (the equivalent of approximately 13 plastic bottles per bag).
It is then coated with polyurethane (PU), making it 100% waterproof while maintaining its flexibility and pleasant feel.

Cordura®

Designed for demanding environments where the bag is exposed to frequent friction and abrasion.

Woven in Korea from 1220-denier nylon, this recycled CORDURA® offers exceptional resistance to abrasion and tearing.
It features a PFAS-free water-repellent finish that provides effective protection against splashes and light rain, although the fabric itself is not fully waterproof.

X-Pac®

Ideal if you want to prioritize lightweight performance without compromising on durability or waterproofing.

Inspired by sailcloth, X-Pac® is a technical multi-layer laminate combining recycled polyester, X-PLY® reinforcement, and a polyester film. Put simply, this construction makes the fabric fully waterproof while keeping it extremely lightweight and more structured than Original or CORDURA®.

The Bag itself is quality. However, for the price i was hoping more for a smoother zipper glide especially along the main clamshell flap.

Sac incroyable ! Merci à l'équipe pour le travail effectué sur ce sac et la vitesse de livraison.
Je l'utilise tous les jours, il est de loin le meilleur sac que j'ai utilisé à ce jour. Au vue de sa robustesse, j'aimerai le conserver un bon paquet d'années.

Un des meilleurs sac à dos du marché

J’ai utilisé ce sac pour tout faire : voyages, randonnée, école… et il remplit parfaitement tout ce qu’on peut attendre d’un bon sac polyvalent.

Points forts :
- Très confortable. Avec ou sans la ceinture ventrale, les bretelles sont excellentes. Je recommande tout de même la ceinture ventrale (un peu chère) qui réduit vraiment la tension sur les épaules lorsqu’on porte du poids.
- Les matériaux sont extrêmement résistants. Je ne l’ai pas ménagé et il ne montre aucune trace d’usure. Il résiste aussi bien à une pluie légère ou modérée prolongée qu’à une forte pluie sur une courte durée.
- Les poches zippées dans le dos ainsi que la poche supérieure sont très pratiques. Les fermetures glissent bien et les espaces de rangement sont généreux.
- La poche ordinateur est spacieuse et séparée du compartiment principal. On retrouve aussi deux petits espaces format passeport ainsi que deux emplacements pour stylos. La poche suspendue est un détail auquel on ne pense pas forcément, mais qui évite de poser le sac directement au sol.
- Les poches latérales disposent d’un trou d’évacuation pour l’eau ainsi que d’une sangle de maintien très utile.
- Les rappels de charge, absents sur beaucoup de sacs concurrents, changent vraiment la donne lorsqu’on transporte du matériel lourd.
- Les points d’ancrage et le système d’accessoires sont excellents. Les possibilités de personnalisation sont énormes.
- Le sac est garanti à vie.

Points faibles :
- Les poches latérales manquent d’élasticité. Lorsque le compartiment principal est rempli, elles deviennent difficilement utilisables. Un matériau plus extensible serait préférable. Elles mériteraient également d’être un peu plus hautes : une grande gourde de 2L peut facilement bouger et donner l’impression qu’elle va tomber.
- La fermeture principale utilise un curseur plus épais, probablement pour améliorer la solidité, mais le glissement est assez mauvais, surtout dans les angles. Il faut parfois tirer assez fortement et dans un certain sens pour réussir à l’ouvrir correctement.
- La poche filet interne pourrait être légèrement plus grande.
- Des poignées latérales et sous le sac auraient été appréciables, comme sur certains modèles concurrents (et il me semble sur le modèle 38L).
- Les cordelettes des fermetures pourraient intégrer un petit système antivol permettant de les attacher ensemble.

Malgré ces défauts, principalement liés aux poches latérales et à la fermeture principale, ce sac reste excellent et mérite largement ses 5 étoiles.
